Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Naomi Bond Beacham, announces her passing at the age of 68 years on Friday, March 20, 2015.

She was born March 21, 1946 in Pender County, the daughter of the late Reverend Bruce Bond and Lyda Mae Bond. She is also preceded in death by her sisters, Joyce O'Bryant and Lois Bond and brothers, Raymond Bond, Clifton Bond, Kirby Bond and James Elmo Bond.

Naomi is survived by her devoted husband of 21 years, Mike Beacham of Burgaw; daughter, Cynthia Hill Bivens (Eddie of Burgaw); sisters, Juanita Padgett (Mitchell) of Willard and Rebecca Herring (Bobby) of Mt Olive; step children, Michelle Anderson (Mitchell) and Robert Beacham (Kim); 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Naomi was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. With her outgoing personality and love for people, she made everyone around her feel welcomed. Her quick wit, laughter and sweet smile were what made Naomi who she was. Being a hard worker and dedicated employee, she enjoyed over 30 years with A & P Grocery where she went from clerk, to co-manager and manager. She was a member of Peniel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. Naomi will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Funeral service will be at 2:00pm on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel with the Rev. Merrell McKoy officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park, Watha.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Monday, March 23, 2015 at the funeral home.

Mike and Cindy truly miss you. We love you so much. Now you can rest in peace with our heavenly Father.
