Nellie Ruth Mohr DeBose

On August 1, 2026, heaven gained one of the most beautiful angels ever!!

Nellie Mohr DeBose left this earth and ascended into the arms of Jesus.

Nell was one of the most caring, loving ladies to ever walk this earth. She genuinely loved people and cared about where they would spend eternity. If everyone she invited to Northside showed up, it would be standing room only.

Nell was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Danny, whom she missed dearly every day. She was the daughter of Kathleen and David Mohr.

She leaves behind her daughter, Pamela Noecker; her son, Kevin DeBose; her five grandchildren, Slade Noecker, Alexis Salak (Evan), Sloane Noecker (Isaiah), Dillon Cohen, Bree DeBose; two of her greatest loves were her 2 great grandchildren, Lilja Grave Noecker (known to her as “Little Slade”), Eliza James Salak (known to her as “Jumpy”); her sisters, Linda Watts (Frank), Daisy Yarborough (Carl); and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be at 11:30 am on August 11, 2026, at Northside Church in Wilmington; 2501 N College Rd, Wilmington, NC 28405; with pastors Kenny Chinn, Mike Morely, and Rob Strickland officiating. The family will receive friends and visitors one hour prior to the service from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
