Nellie Anderson Pope, 95, of Burgaw died Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ben Pope and son, Thomas Edward Pope, Sr.

Nellie is survived by two daughters, Sandra "Sandy" Steinmark (George) and Olive Hollinger (Bob) all of Burgaw; grandchildren, Ben, Katherine, Edward, Virginia, Anna and Michael; great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and lots of friends.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 22, 2013 at Herrings Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Hargrove, Pastor Rick Russell, and Rev. William Hill Pearsall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw.
