Nicholas "Nick" Sam Vdovich, 78, of Burgaw passed from his earthly life August 14, 2020 at his home.

He was born September 4, 1941 in Pender County, the son of the late Sam and Mary Balko Vdovich.

Nick is survived by his sister, Stella Gluszczak of Canada.

He was retired from NC Department of Transportation after many years of loyal service.

Nick was a quiet, very honorable man who always did his best at whatever he undertook.

Memorial service will be at a later date.
