Nora Jones age 74, passed away peacefully at her home in Burgaw,  on Saturday, February 19, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Nora was born January 30, 1949 in Onslow  County, NC, the daughter of the late William A.  and Nora Jones Rivenbark.

Upon entering into heaven to meet her Lord and Savior, Nora was reunited with her beloved husband of 54 years, Luby Fields Jones and her precious son, Rodney Jones.

Nora was a faithful member of Forest Hill Baptist Church in Burgaw. For over 17 years she worked as a Pharmacy Tech Supervisor at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Not only was Nora a wonderful mother, but a loving grandmother and friend. She continuously lived life with Kindness and Strength; seeing each day as a gift to be enjoyed. Nora's years were filled with an abiding love of the Lord and time spent with family she so adored. Nora's sweet, sweet spirit will be greatly missed.

Nora is survived by her daughter, Tonia J. Heath, and husband, Tony; her son, Jeremy T. Jones, and his wife, Jessica; six grandchildren, Brittany Heath-Thompson (Steven), Kelly Heath, Tony Heath, Jr., Jordan Eason, Jennifer Jones, and Kyleigh Eason; six great-grandchildren, Jayden, Cambree, Chase, Collin, Tristan, and Kinley; many extended family members and friends.

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Nora Jones will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, in the Lanier-Meadows Cemetery, Maple Hill  with Rev. Phillip Shepard officiating the service.. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
