Norma Maxine Garwicki, age 89, of Wilmington, NC passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Autumn Care of Myrtle Grove in Wilmington, NC.

She was born on March 31, 1931 in Sioux City, IA to the late Earnest Francis Zahnley and Beatrice Zahnley.

Norma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She loved people and animals, especially her cats. Norma was a bright light to many people and will be missed dearly.

Norma would say with a smile that she is survived by her husband of 63 years, Thadius Garwicki. She was blessed with four children, Mike Garwicki, Sherri Still and husband, John, Scott Garwicki and wife, Silvia, and Kimberly Vinyard; six grandchildren, Diana, Karen, Kevin, Bryan, Courtney and Amber; seven great-grandchildren, Jacob, Sydney, Kailie, Ethan, Caleb, Darien, and Beckett; and many nieces and nephews across the country.

In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her six sisters and one brother.
