Norman Cornelius Williams, 79, of Wilmington NC, passed away on Friday, June 9th, 2023, at Lower Cape Fear Lifecare in Wilmington NC.

He was born in Wilmington NC, on October 17th, 1943, to the late James Vander Williams and Gladys Aline Reeves Williams.

Norman, a U.S. Army Veteran who served during Vietnam, retired from DuPont after 32 years of service.  He enjoyed being outdoors, working in the yard, dancing and going to the Senior Center on Shipyard every day to spend time with his friends. Norman, a member of Moose Lodge #343, was a true people person who was outgoing, friendly, and loved to make people laugh. Norman was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather who will dearly be missed by many.

Norman is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Williams; sons, Andrew Williams and Kevin Williams; daughter, Angela Brown (Wade), brother, Kenneth Williams (Libby); Sister, Denise Latta (Paul); and grandchild, Tyler Brown. He is also survived by his former wife, Gerry Williams.

In addition to his parents, Norman was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Blanche Wilkie; brothers, Jerry Williams, Buck Williams, and Tony Williams.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Bridge of Life Church in Leland with Pastor Jerome Bullard officiating and the US Army performing military honors.
