Oliverson "Junior" Moore, Jr., age 75, of Burgaw passed from his earthly life to his eternal rest on Monday, July 23, 2012 at his home.

He was born November 28, 1936 in Pender County, the son of the late Oliverson Moore, Sr. and Ida Mae Rowell Moore. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Canaan Hardison; three sisters and four brothers.

Junior is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years, Panda "Pam" Smith Moore; sons, Timothy Moore of Leland and Harold Moore (Sherry) of Currie; daughter, Jennifer Hardison of Hampstead; step-children, Billy Howard (Darlene) of Magnolia, Ricky Howard (Betty Jo) of Beulaville, Tina Bain (Johnny) of Rocky Point and Lonnie Howard (Johnna) of Penderlea; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Myrtle Lowery (Jimmy) of Columbia, Mississippi and Louise Davis of Wilmington; special friend, Ervin Taylor and all of the Hardees group.

Junior was a Pender County farmer and farmed until 1985 at which time he began working with Rowe Tree Co. and later with Billy Whitehead Sand & Gravel.

Junior loved his family and was a devoted husband and a wonderful daddy, granddaddy, brother, uncle and friend. His zest for life was evident in all that he enjoyed ... hunting, tinkering in his work shop and all of God's nature, especially the rivers and streams of Pender County. Cherished memories of Junior will remain in our hearts.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 703 Rivenbark Road, Currie with The Rev. Philip Eakins officiating.

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw.
