Owen Ray
Ezzell
Jul 11, 1959 — Aug 21, 2017
Owen Ray Ezzell, age 58, of Wallace was surrounded by his loving family as he was transported to his heavenly home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, August 21, 2017.
He was born on July 11, 1959 in Duplin County and was the son of the late Owen Wright and Dunnie Mae Crews Ezzell. He was also predeceased by his uncle, Ervin Smith in 2009.
When his health permitted, Owen attended First Assembly of God Church in Wallace.
Surviving to cherish his memory is his son, William Owen Ezzell and wife, Amanda of Indiana; his daughter, Shannon Marie Ezzell of Watha; grandchildren, Logan Scott Grider, Tyler Owen Ezzell, Alisa Marie Ezzell, Cameron Elizabeth Pearson and Kaylee Ann Pearson; special uncles, Thomas "Tommy" Lee Smith of Rose Hill and Billy Smith of Teachey and numerous cousins and friends that loved Owen dearly.
Owen was a caring father and grandfather who loved his family dearly. He found
great joy in the simplest of things, but his greatest joy was family and spending time with them. With a big heart and love for others, Owen was always willing to lend a helping hand to help others. He was quiet, humble and never seemed to get in a hurry. Owen loved the Lord, his church family and his extended family. He will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved Owen.
