Pamela "Pam" Barnhill Mintz, 40, of Rocky Point joined God's heavenly angels on Monday, October 28, 2013 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born December 23, 1972 in Wilmington, the daughter of Terry Lockamy Croom and the late Jerry Wayne Barnhill.

In addition to her mother, Pamela is survived by her husband of 23 years, Craig Mintz; son, Aaron Mintz; daughter Ashlynn Mintz (Jonathan Meares); granddaughter; Kaylee Meares; brothers, James "Bubba" Croom and Cliff Barnhill; sisters, Kandy Jones (Britton), Stacey Barnhill, Amy Croom and Leslie Croom; step-father, James "Jimmy" Croom; step-mother, Gina Barnhill; grandparents, Joe and Betty Lockamy; and many loving extended family and friends.

Pam's pride and joy in this world was her beloved family that she nurtured, loved above all else and cared for. Her exuberant personality, radiant smile and contagious laughter brightened the life of everyone who knew her. The simplest things in life made Pam happy. She enjoyed the beach, picking up seashells, and family gatherings. Pam would say to us today, "Remember me not with tears of sorrow, for my destiny is complete and I am smiling." She has left to all of us the gifts of loving each other, faith in Christ and a compassion for others.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with the Rev. Elbert Bradshaw officiating. Burial will follow in Redrick Cemetery in Rocky Point.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

The light of Pam's love, the tenderness of her care enriched the lives of all who called her name both family and friends.
