Patricia "Gail" Blackman Bordeaux, 73, of Rose Hill left this earthly life for her eternal rest on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 from Lower Cape Fear LifeCare.
She was born on August 26, 1949 in Whiteville, North Carolina and was the daughter of the late Melton and Mary DuBoise Blackman. Mrs. Bordeaux was also preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Durant Bordeaux; her brother, Julius Lenox Blackman, Sr. and his wife, Mary; nephew, Melton Devon Blackman, Jr.; step granddaughter, Hailey Bordeaux; and son-in-law, Jeffery Boone.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Katherine Bryan of Castle Hayne, Tammy Boone of Rose Hill and Angela Bryan of Wilmington; father of her children and life-long friend, Donald Ray "Nat" Bryan; grandchidlren, Kayla Tatum, Jeremy Bryan and spouse, Carlos Cruz-Teran, Daniel Boone and Natalie Boone; brother, Melton Devon Blackman, Sr. and wife, Addie of Burgaw,; niece, Deborah Lynn Blackman; nephews, Julius Lenox Blackman, Jr. and Parker Melton Blackman; step-children, Shawn Bordeaux and wife, Pam, Jodi McClellan and husband, Delbert and Todd Bordeaux and wife, Colleen; step-grandchildren, Hillary Wilks and husband, Matt, Hannah Bordeaux, Landon McClellan, Jacob McClellan, Seth McClellan, Maxwell "Maxine" McClellan, Graham McClellan, Kobbe' Bordeaux, Ollie Bordeaux and Elsie Bordeaux; former son-in-law, Charlie Strickland; special cousins Leatha Teachey Pack and Craig Register and his wife, Gaye; special friend from childhood, Judy Porter of Wilmington and numerous extended family and friends who loved Gail dearly.
Gail was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend who loved her family dearly. She enjoyed the simple things in life but her greatest joy was her family. Being a diligent homemaker, Gail filled her home with love and welcomed all who entered. No matter how busy she was or what was going on, she always put her children first and took great care of them. Gail was a hard worker, and having a big heart, she always took the time to see and meet the needs of others. Gail was a talented seamstress who made her girls clothes when they were small and she was also a great cook. Gail loved flowers and enjoyed flower arranging. Being a peoples person, Gail was always willing to take care of others in their time of need. Gail will surely be missed but treasured memories of her will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00p.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at the home of Gail Bordeaux and Tammy Boone in Rose Hill. .
The children would like to thank Sonya, Monica, Keisha and staff of Lower Cape Fear LifeCare for the compassionate care they gave to their Mama.
