Patrick Earl Gerhard Savage, 48, of Wilmington, valiant soldier and beloved man left his earthly life too soon. On September 6, 2015 he went home to a place of eternal peace.
He was born December 30, 1966 in Germany, the son of William "Bill" and Monika Savage. In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Jessica K. Savage; son, Tyler Savage; daughter, Brooke Savage; step-children, Hailey Rouse and Jordan Rouse; brother, Michael Savage; several aunts, nieces and one nephew; and many extended family and friends.
Patrick served proudly in the US Army during the Gulf War, Operation Desert Storm. After his tour of duty in the Army Patrick continued to exercise and keep physically fit.
Patrick was a kind man, always thoughtful of others. He loved his family, his country and his friends. Patrick enjoyed the outdoors and all of nature and God's bountiful creations. His wonderful, sunny smile brightened any room he entered. He was loved and will not be forgotten.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Windermere Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Walt Griffith officiating.
