Paul Brooks Harwood, age 57, of Surf City passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016 at his home.

He was born in Montgomery County, North Carolina the son of the late Brooks Willard Harwood and Elise Eugenia Kimball Harwood.

Paul enjoyed playing golf, watching the Carolina Panthers Football and Carolina Tar Heels Basket Ball games.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Martha P. Harwood; two daughters, Blake Madison Harwood and Ali Rochelle Harwood and their mother, Laura Harwood; three step-children, Luis Reyes, Alan Reyes and Martha Rubio and husband Gerardo; brother, Ralph Harwood and wife Lou Harwood; feline companion, Señor Hobbs ; best friend, Clark Haithcock; and numerous other loving family and friends.

The family will have a private service at a later date.
