Paula Marie Corbett Mota-Serrano, age 55, of Magnolia passed gently from her earthly life Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare.

She was born May 4, 1968 in Burgaw, the daughter of Patricia English Evans and the late David Danny Corbett. In addition to her father Paula was preceded in death by her brother, Thad English.

Paula is survived by her mother, Patricia Evans; sisters, Candy Corbett and Amanda Lamb (Seth Stephens); brother, Randall Corbett; and several nieces and nephews, all who loved Paula.

Paula was a kind hearted spirit that loved and cherished creating family memories. From spending time together during regular family visits to her favorite family get togethers, holidays and birthdays were always extra special. She loved her family, friends and fur babies and always kept a positive, upbeat out look on life no matter how challenging times could get for herself and others. As Paula steps into the light of glory and finds peace, she passes down her love, passion and duty of creating and keeping memories alive to the ones she has left behind. May we all keep the memories of our loved ones flourishing.

Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Riverview Memorial Park with Bob Carr conducting the service. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.
