Peggy Jones, 73 of Ivanhoe went to sing with the angels September 8,2014.

She is preceded in death by her husband Guy Jones and her son Gary Jones.

She leaves behind a loving daughter and caretaker Lisa Jones Burrows (Gary) who was always by her side to offer a helping hand. Three grandchildren Crystal Johnson (Jamie) Brandy Mathis (Sean) and Steven Smith. Five great grandchildren Daniel, Dillon, Shawn, Zander and Alaynah. A loving daughter in-law Teresa Jones. Four sisters, One brother and many nieces and nephews.

Peggy was an avid angel collector and read her bible every day. She loved her family and the Lord and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. If you had the good fortune of spending even five minutes with her, she would touch your life in some way. She would light up a room when she came strolling in and had the sweetest laugh you ever heard. She was the kindest lady anyone had ever met, as so many have said and though we will miss her, she has waited a long time for her reunion in heaven. She is dancing and rejoicing with the angels and her loved ones now. Heaven is lucky to have her and we were lucky to know her.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington where a funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM Friday. Burial Oleander Memorial Gardens.
