WILMINGTON - Peggy Joyce Jenkins Woods, 69, formerly of Shelby, passed away on Aug. 1, 2012, in Wilmington.

She was born May 4, 1943, to the late Eli Henderson and Mary Curtis Jenkins.

She retired from Worsley/Springer-Eubanks in February 2012 where she worked for 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Bennette Woods, formerly of Shelby and her brother, Howard Jenkins of Rutherford County.

She is survived by her son, Randy Woods of Wilmington and daughter, Pam Woods Farr; grandchildren, Corey and Christian, all of
Shelby; brother, Donald Jenkins and wife Caroline of Boiling Springs and sister, Margaret Jenkins Wentz and husband Howard of Charlotte.

The family will have visitation from 3 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Beaver Dam Baptist Church, Shelby.

A memorial service will follow the visitation.
