Perry Allison Boone, 77, of Winnabow, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington.

He was born on June 13, 1945, in Clinton, NC, to the late Clarence and Lillie Belle (Peterson) Boone.

Perry, a proud US Air Force veteran, was a hard worker and a devoted fan of the UNC Tarheels. He was a great cook who loved gardening and working in his yard. Perry loved to have a good time with his friends and family. He was a bright light to many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Perry is survived by his daughters, Amber Drury and husband, Jonathan, Paige Boone Crews and husband, Jon; his brother, Gary Boone and wife, Edna Faye; his grandchildren, Raegan, Wesley, Emma, Kyle; and his companion, Shirley Jobes.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 2:00pm - 5:00pm at the Bradley Creek Yacht Club, 6338 Oleander Dr, Wilmington, NC 28403, in the clubhouse. Military Honors by the U.S. Air Force will be performed at 3:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions in memory of Perry may be made to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare at www.lifecare.org or to Fisher House Foundation at fisherhouse.org.
