Peter N. Freeman, 58 of Leland passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at SECU Hospice House in Bolivia.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Mildred Freeman and two brothers Tom and Dennis Freeman.

Pete is survived by his wife Betty R. Freeman, sons Christopher Aaron Freeman (Jaci) and Peter Alexander Freeman (Courtney) and daughter Toni Rae Sawyer (David), sisters Jean Lockett, Julie Roberts, Gayle Collins, Kathleen Scheifer and a brother Daniel Freeman, grandchildren Mason and Sarah Kuenstler, Suzanna Freeman, Laykin Freeman, Jacob Sawyer, Aiden Freeman and his mother Emerald, and many nieces and nephews.

Peter attended Cape Fear Community Fellowship Church and loved God. He coached softball, T-ball and baseball for many years. Peter enjoyed collecting antique pottery.

A celebration on Pete's life will be 4:00 PM, Thursday, January 28th, 2016 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington where the family will receive friends after the service.
