Obituary

Phillip George Stoddart, age 83, of Wallace died Sunday, January 31, 2010 at GlenCare Nursing Home.

He was born April 29, 1926 in Oak Park, Illinois; son of the late Arthur Truman and Doris Palmer Stoddart. He was also predeceased by his brother, William Arthur Stoddart.

Mr. Stoddart served his country honorably in the US Air Force. He was a member of Poston Baptist Church and Wallace Lions Club.

He is survived by his devoted wife of thirty years, Alma Williams Stoddart of Wallace; children, Joseph Cottle of Nashville, Tennessee and Denise Cottle of Nekoosa, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Tina, Lauren, Samantha, Jennifer, Shannon, Sabrina and Sean; eight great grandchildren; brothers, Robert Truman Stoddart of Fort McCoy, Florida and Gerald Lewis Stoddart of Marseilles, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel with the Reverend Dustin Gillespie officiating.

Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park in Watha.

The family will receive friends 10:00 to 11:00 am Wednesday, one hour prior the service at the funeral home.
