Philomena (Phil) Mary Gisonna, 93 of Wilmington passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice LifeCareCenter.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ludwig (Lou) A. Gisonna and her parents.

Phil is survived by her daughters Anne Potter (Monroe) of Wilmington, Judith Holt (John) of Monroe, GA, sons Victor P. Gisonna (Rose) of Charlotte, NC and James M. Gisonna of Savannah, GA, grandchildren Beth Sansotta of Avon Lake, Ohio, Tracy Watkins (Walker) of Wilmington, Victor M. Gisonna of Wilmington, J. P. Gisonna of Fayetteville and Michael D. A. Holt (Catie) of Monroe, GA, great grandchildren Megan M. Frato (Joe) of Akron, Ohio, Anthony M. Sansotta and Michael D. Sansotta both of Avon Lake, Ohio, Carly E. Watkins and Andrew W. Watkins both of Wilmington, James Michael Richard Gisonna, great great granddaughter Olivia D. Frato of Akron, Ohio, sister Angeline Pepe of Glens Falls, NY, nephew Peter Pepe (Dianna) of Louisville, KY, and two special angels Beverly Tyler and Hope Sansbury.

Phil was a lifetime member of the Wilmington Women's Bowling Association and a member of St. Mark Catholic Church. She was a great cook and will be greatly missed by her family.

The family will receive friends from 3-5PM, Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11AM, Monday, February 2, 2015 at St. Mark Catholic Church. Interment at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
