Ramon Recendez Rodriguez, 46, of Rocky Point and formerly of Mexico died Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at his brother's home in Rocky Point, North Carolina.

He was born January 14, 1977 in Victoria, Tamaulipas in Mexico, the son of Juana Rodriguez Velazquez and Mario Alberto Moreno.

In addition to his parents, Ramon is survived by his brothers, Mario Moreno Rodriguez and Omar Resendez Rodriguez; and many extended family members and friends.

Ramon received a master's degree in Cabinetry from a  University in Mexico. He was a master craftsman, proficient in making furniture, and enjoyed working with his hands. Ramon was of the Catholic faith.

Ramon was a devoted son, loving brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. His love of family was obvious by the way he lived his life. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral service will be 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with Father Roger Malonda conducting the service. Following the service, the family will receive friends at the funeral home until 8:00 p.m.
