Randy Dwight Rooks, Sr., 66, of Wilmington passed from his earthly life to eternity on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at his home.

He was born April 23, 1946 in Pender County, the son of the late Leon Frederick Rooks, Sr. and Emma Platt Moore Rooks. Also remembered are his daughter and her husband, Kathy Lynn and Mark Dixon; and brothers, Billy Platt Rooks and Leon Frederick "Fred" Rooks all who preceded Dwight in death.

Dwight is survived by his son, Randy Dwight Rooks, Jr. of Rocky Point; grandchildren, Michael Rooks, Ashley Rooks, Mark Dixon, Kevin Dixon and Joey Dixon; several great grandchildren; sister, Betty Humbles Brown (Tom) of Castle Hayne; sister-in-law, Anne Rooks of Wilmington; many nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at McClure Memorial Presbyterian Church.
