Raymond Lee Teachey, age 68, of Watha died Monday, November 12, 2007 at his home.

He was born April 10, 1939 in Pender County, the son of the late Herman Carlton and Minnie Horrell Teachey. He was also predeceased by his sister, Pansy Thompson and brothers, Allen Teachey and Thomas Teachey.

Mr. Teachey was a member of Cora's Grove PFWB Church and was retired from Yellow Transportation.

Raymond was a loving, devoted and supportive husband, daddy, granddaddy and brother who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Surviving are his wife of forty-seven years, Jane Howard Teachey of the home; sons, Raymond Allen Teachey of Watha, Michael G. Teachey and wife, Linda of Watha and Anthony Dale Teachey and wife, Sharon of Teachey; grandchildren, Brandon, Kolton, Cody, Caleb, and Jacob Teachey; step-grandchildren, Zachary Kale and Haley Kale; sisters, Rae Wood, Faye English and Margaret Henderson all of Wallace; brothers, Nathan Teachey of Burgaw, Jerry Teachey and Robert Teachey both of Watha; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 15, 2007 at Cora's Grove PFWB Church with The Rev. Baris Lanier, The Rev. W. E. Smith and The Rev. Richard Phillips officiating.

Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park.

Casketbearers will be Brandon Teachey, Cody Teachey, Robert Williamson, Steve Williamson, Wesley Williamson and Pat Jackson.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw.
