Obituary

Rebecca Williams Hinds, 76, widow of Ed Hinds, of Murrells Inlet, S.C., died March 12, 2009 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in Duplin County, N.C., the daughter of the late David W. Williams, Sr. and Bettie Hall Williams. After graduating from Peace College and the Women's College of the University of North Carolina, she spent her life as a devoted homemaker. She was a member of Murrells Inlet Presbyterian Church, where she was an Honorary Life Member of the Presbyterian Women.

She is survived by her brother, David W. Williams, Jr., her children, M. Edwin Hinds, Jr and wife Rebecca, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Rebecca (\\"Cam\\") Hinds Ward and husband Wade of Rose Hill, N.C., David H. Hinds and wife Anne of Wilmington, N.C. and Jane Hinds Port and husband T.J. of Georgetown, S.C. and her grandchildren, Ashley Cameron Ward of Raleigh, N.C., Megan Hampton Ward of Murrells Inlet, S.C., Thomas J. Port, III and Emily Jane Port of Georgetown, S.C., and Sydney Anne Hinds, Claire Elizabeth Hinds and Grace Cameron Hinds of Wilmington, N.C.

Visit with the family on Sunday, March 15, 2009 from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm at the Little Chapel of Murrells Inlet Presbyterian Church located behind the church. A graveside service will be held at Oak Plain Presbyterian Church, 6400 Waycross Road, outside of Rose Hill, N.C. on Monday, March 16, 2009 at 4:00 pm with an additional opportunity to visit with the family until 7:00 pm.
