Rebeca Ramirez, age 14, died Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Pit Memorial Hospital in Greenville.

She was born January 19, 1996 in Duplin County and was the precious daughter of Gonzalo and Elena Venecia Ramirez. She was predeceased by her grandfathers, Heraclio Venecia and Juan Ramirez.

Rebeca attended Spanish Magnolia Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses and was in eighth grade at E.E. Smith Middle School.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her sisters, Elaine and Margarita and brothers, Rudy and Alex; her grandmothers, Dora Venecia and Vicky Ramirez; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends.

Memorial service for Rebeca will be 4:00 pm Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Wallace-Rose Hill Fine Arts Building, Teachey, NC with Elder Andy Cabrera officiating.

Burial was in Duplin Memorial Gardens, Teachey, NC.

Rebeca was an outstanding daughter and wonderful sister, niece, cousin and friend. She found great joy in the simplest of things, but her greatest joy was serving Jehovah God and her family. She enjoyed beautiful flowers and all types of animals, especially her two Chihuahuas. With a smile on her face and a kind word to greet you, Rebeca set a positive example for everyone to follow. She loved and devoted her life to Jehovah God and was never ashamed or afraid to tell others about His love. Rebeca always thought of the needs of others before herself. She was a strong, courageous and yet gentle young lady who brought out the good in those who were near and dear to her. During her short life, she taught those of us who loved her to love each other as Jehovah loves each of us. So, we will not say "goodbye" but we'll "see you later" till all of us meet again in Jehovah's Heavenly Kingdom.
