Rebecca G. Kocourek, 70, of Wilmington, NC, died January 14, 2013 at home surrounded by family. She was born March 31, 1942 in Aliquippa,
Pennsylvania, the daughter of Barbara and Charles Wassler.

On January 8, 1962, in Basel, Switzerland, Rebecca married John J. Kocourek, who survives her. She attended two years at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania and was an Interior Designer in Ashburn, VA and in Wilmington. Rebecca and her spouse owned a Women's Western clothing store for seven years named "Girl of the West" in Mancos, Colorado and in Scottsdale, Arizona.

In addition to her husband, Rebecca is survived by her three sons Ryan Kocourek, of San Francisco, CA, Andre Kocourek of Mancos, CO, and Aaron Kocourek of Ashburn, VA, grandchildren Julian, Hunter, Hayden and Tamara all of Mancos, CO, Courtney and Laney of Fruita, CO, sister Valerie Mahan, of Ashburn, VA, and her parents Charles and Betty Wassler of Southport, NC.

A memorial service will be held in Ashburn, VA in late Spring.
