Obituary

Reverend William "Bill" Autry, Jr., 78, of Castle Hayne was born in Duplin County and was the son of the late William Autry, Sr. and Eva Jane Vann Autry. He was also predeceased by his wife and mother of his children, Bonnie Autry; brothers, Charles Autry, George Autry, and Bobby Autry and sisters, Priscilla James, Mary Henry Huffman, Katie Garvey, Naomi Brock, Mary Henderson and Ruth Sauls.

Bill was survived by his daughter, Tammi A. Miller and husband, Stephen of Beulaville, his sons, Billy Joe Autry and wife, Shannon of Richlands and Donnie Autry of Lumberton; step daughter, Donna Crew Martinez of Smithfield; grandchildren, Leah Miller, Bryant Miller, Jonathan Autry, Jenna Autry, Dee Newburn, Jordan Newburn, Caitlyn Newburn, Shari Critzer, Ashley Levy, Amanda Seagers, Donovan Autry, Jordan Autry, Austin Autry, and Anna Lee Autry and Adalyn Autry and numerous nieces and nephews.

Billy loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with each of them. He enjoyed being a truck driver and a member of the Teamster Union. Billy had a big heart and a loving spirit. He loved the Lord, his family and telling others about Jesus. Being a minister, Billy was very involved in a prison ministry and his ministry touched many lives though out the years. Billy will surely be missed but cherished memories will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Funeral service will be at 3:00pm Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel with the Reverend Billy Cooper officiating.

Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park, Watha.

Casketbearers will be Trey Price, Jonathan Autry, Jordan Newburn, Wayne Garvey, J.B. Garvey, and Braxton Carter.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00pm on Sunday, one hour prior the funeral at the funeral home.
