Richard Dorson Ogden, age 90, of Burgaw, North Carolina and formerly of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania went home to be with his Almighty God on Sunday, April 12, 2009.

He was born September 23, 1918 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and was the son of the late John M. and Elsie Stout Ogden. Also remembered are his great granddaughter, Norah and sister, Lydia Marcks, who preceded Richard in death.

Surviving are his loving wife of 68 years, Mildred A. Ogden of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry R. and Linda D. Ogden of Watha, North Carolina and David G. and Donna L. Ogden of Catasauqua, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Todd R. Ogden and wife, Holly, Kimberly L. Longenbach and husband, Jim, Sunny L. Nelson and husband, Travis, and Joshua D. Mr. Ogden was a member of Lehigh Valley Grace Brethern in Bethlehem and attended Bible Baptist Church in Burgaw. Richard served his country honorably in the US Army during WW II and was retired from Bethlehem Steel Corporation.

Richard was a devoted husband, loving father, granddaddy and brother who loved the Lord and always stood on his Christian principles. His vibrant personality and friendly smile made him many friends thru the years. He was blessed with many talents - pen and ink art work and in years past playing musical instruments with his wife, Mildred. The fondest of memories of Richard will forever remain in our hearts.

The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw.
