Richard "Ricky" Forest Riggs, age 61, of Hampstead, NC passed away Monday, May 18, 2020.

He was born on July 6, 1958 in Wilmington, NC to the late Forest Lee Riggs and Lila Pauline (Sandlin) Riggs.

Richard, a U.S. Army veteran, was very humorous and always told jokes. He was a big fan of classic rock and was a self-taught guitar player. Richard enjoyed smoking his cigars. He was a loving husband and father, and he especially loved his granddaughter.

Left to remember him are his loving wife of 38 years, Rochelle "Shelley" Diane (King) Riggs; sons, Kevin Riggs and fiancé, Dana Turner, and Jeremy Riggs; brother, Tony Lee Riggs, Sr. and wife, Penny; grandchild, Delilah Kay Riggs; sister-in-law, Roberta Hopkins and husband, Joe; and many other family and friends.
