Richard Edward Sisson, 44, of Rocky Point passed from his earthly life to his eternal rest on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at his home.

He was born January 13, 1970 at the US Air Force base in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Richard was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edward and Mary Lewis Martin; and paternal grandparents, Bill and Olivia Batts Beasley.

Richard is survived by his loving family; mother, Jolynn Martin Sisson; father, Stanley Sisson; twin brother, Robert Sisson; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Richard was a professional hair stylist, working at Belk's Beauty Salon in Wilmington for many years. Most important in his life was love for his family. He is remembered for his uncanny ability to earn fast friends with his outgoing, jovial personality. One of his passions in life was collecting Marilyn Monroe memorabilia. He loved all of God's creations especially animals and always made sure they were cared for. He was a giver in this world, always more willing to give than receive. Cherished memories of Richard will always remain in our hearts.

A private memorial service will be held in honor and memory of Richard Edward Sisson.
