Rita Marie Johnson, of Edenton, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024, at the age of 71. Rita was born in Miami, Florida on May 21, 1952, the daughter of George Johnson and Elizabeth Wells Johnson.

Rita was a remarkable spirit and touched the lives of all who knew her with warmth, kindness and infectious joy.

She is survived by her loving family, including her brothers, Larry Styron and Joseph Styron and cousins; Ellen Smith and Mary Ivy Woodward.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Riverview Memorial Park, 9350 US-117, Willard, NC 28478
