Robert "Bobby" Lee Lunsford, age 88, of Rocky Point passed gently from his earthly life to his heavenly reward Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at The Laurels of Pender.
He was born May 9, 1935 in Pender County, the son of Gurley and Geneva Bonham Lunsford. In addition to his parents Bobby was preceded in death by his sister, Ruby Rivenbark; and brothers, Morris Lunsford and Bill Lunsford.
Bobby is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Marie Reaves Lunsford; daughters, Pamela Serrano (Robert), Sherry Tillotson, and Barbara Benton (Kevin); grandchildren; Kristina Serrano, Kyle Tillotson, Kimberly Grice, and Burt Grice; great grandson, Gaven Grice; brother, Howard Lunsford (Faye) and Wayne Lunsford (Lynette); many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In years past Bobby enjoyed fishing, hunting, and growing all kinds of vegetables in his garden. Bobby was a kind, hardworking true southern gentleman. Most of all Bobby loved and served his Lord, his beloved family, and his church.
A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2023 at Riverview Memorial Park with The Rev. Larry Horrell conducting the service. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the graveside service.
