Robert \\"Rob\\" Quentin
Edens
August 14, 2011
Robert \\"Rob\\" Quentin Edens, age 33, of Rocky Point left his earthly life for his eternal rest on Sunday, August 14, 2011.
Born on May 7, 1978 in Kanawah County, West Virginia, Rob was the son of Vernon Lee Edens and his wife, Jeanette of Charleston, West Virginia and the late Susan Bullock Edens.
In addition to his father, Rob is survived by his is loving wife, Penny Hancock Edens; sons, Trent Lee Edens and Alexander Loy Edens, all of Rocky Point; siblings, Heather Edens of Charleston, WV, Vernon Edens, Jr. of St. Albans, WV and Billie Catlett of Charleston, WV and many extended family and friends.
Robert was a very hard working man, who lived his life striving to provide for his family. He was loved by numerous people across the country and touched the lives of so many. He had a big heart and loved his family. His children were his world; he loved them with all of his heart.
Robert graduated from George Washington High School in 1996. He attended WVU from 1999-2000, where he became a brother in the West Virginia Alpha chapter of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity, he will surely be missed by all of his fraternity brothers. \\"In Coelo Quies Est\\" it means \\"in Heaven there is rest.\\"
In 2000, he left WV and married Penny Hancock of Burgaw, NC and shortly thereafter they started a beautiful family together. There will never be enough words to express how much he will be missed by his family, friends and loved ones. Especially his dearest and best friend, Russell McCormick, whom Robert viewed as a brother rather than a friend.
Robert, we all hope and pray that you are at rest and peace. We all loved you very much and may God rest your soul, my husband.
Memorial service will be 11:00 am Friday, August 19, 2011 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Ray Mendenhall officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, family is requesting that donations be made for a college fund for his sons, c/o Penny Edens, 396 Brantham Rd., Burgaw, NC 28425.
