Our patriarch, Robert "Bobby" Earl Hinson, Sr., 87, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 27, 2017.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 67 years, Margie "Farrow" Hinson; three sons, Robert Earl Hinson Jr., Charles Thomas Hinson, Sr., and Donald Ray Hinson, Sr. (Donna); ten grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and many other loved ones, including family and friends.

Bobby was born in Wilmington on December 14, 1930 to the late Milton and Sally Bet "King" Hinson. He was preceded in death by his brother, Herbert Milton Hinson and grandson Donald Ray Hinson Jr.

Bobby was a dedicated member of the Latter Day Saints Church. He was an active member of the Wilmington First Ward. Bobby loved fishing and cooking. Bobby will be remembered for his steak and gravy. He was a skilled carpenter and taught all his boys carpentry. Bobby retired from professional bowling, holding one of the highest averages in Wilmington.

A service will be held 12:00PM, Monday January 1, 2018 at the Wilmington First Ward LDS church 514 S College Rd, Wilmington, NC 28403. The family will receive family and friends an hour prior to the service at 11:00 AM.

Bobby will be buried following the service, at Nelson T Mily Cemetery, 1361 Old Fayetteville Rd, Leland, NC 28451. Located behind the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
