Robert B. Hooks, Sr., 97 of Wilmington passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015.
He was born January 8, 1918, graduated from Brogden High School and attended Wake Forest University before serving in World War II with the Army Air Force. Robert worked for Sears Roebuck and Company for 45 years retiring in 1980 as Divisional Home Furnishings Manager in Orlando, Fl. He was an active member of Wrightsville United Methodist Church and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite.
Robert is survived by his wife of 76 years Betty Hooks, daughter Sarah B. Woodbury and her husband Steve, his son Ben Hooks and wife Jackie, 3 grandchildren Scott, Jacob and Kristen.
Graveside Chapel Mausoleum service will begin at 11AM, Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank the staff at Davis Healthcare, Timberline for their kindness and care for our Father.
