Robert Reynolds Hunter, age 71, of Wallace and son of the late Edward Liston and Bessie Viola Padrick Hunter, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 5, 2007.

Born and reared in Richlands, he was a lifelong resident of Wallace. In his retirement years, Robert loved working in his yard. He also enjoyed woodworking and spoiling his daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Devoted husband and father, he is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Anna Allene Jones Hunter of the home; sons; Gene Hunter (Amy), of Mont Claire, Va; Tommy Hunter (Lisa) of Heidelberg, Germany; Danny Hunter of Warsaw; Suzy Hunter of the home; brothers, Chester (Gaynell) Hunter and Nelson (Deloise) Hunter; sister, Ruth Ezzell; grandchildren; Allen Hunter; Rachel (Nick) Emrath; Sarah (Kris) Richter; all of Murfreesboro, TN.; Ryan Hunter of Heidelberg, Germany; Courtney Carroll of Harrells and great grandchildren, Ethan, Brian, Nicholas, Georgia, and Lydia.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his daughters, Wanda Joyce Hunter and Cheryl Ann Hunter and brothers, Roger Hunter and Elmer Hunter.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, Wallace.

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2007 at the Hunter residence with the Rev. Tommy Blanton officiating.
