Robert "Bob" John Recchio, 79, passed peacefully from his earthly life Friday, May 15, 2026 in Sumter, SC. with family and lots of love.

He was born September 4, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Philip Recchio and Shirley Smith Recchio. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemarie Recchio and his second wife, Connie Robinson Recchio.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Dana Recchio; sister, Shirley Peirone; brothers, Tom Recchio (Elani) and Phil Recchio (Carol); nieces, Tammy Griffeth (Chris) and Amanda Recchio; nephews, Bobby Peirone, Phillip Recchio, Devin Recchio, Owen Recchio, and Thomas Recchio; many extended family and friends.

Bob's career spanned many years in the field of computers, where he worked as a systems operational engineer.  During his career, he also worked with the Central Intelligence Agency and with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, contributing his knowledge and expertise in technology and operations.

Bob was a kind and giving Christian man who enjoyed teaching children's Sunday school for many years. He had a God-given gift for music and was an excellent piano player who willingly shared his music with others. Bob also loved talking about and sharing his knowledge of prophecy, a subject in which he was very well versed. He was a faithful fan of the New York Yankees. Bob's presence will be truly missed.

The graveside service will be 12:00 p.m., Thursday, May 21, 2026 at Garden of Memories Cemetery conducted by Pastor Gordon Powell. The family will receive friends following the graveside service in the Fellowship Hall of Centerville Baptist Church.
