Robert "Bobby" Allen Watkins, Jr., age 49, of Wallace died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 13, 2009 in Henderson, Nevada.

He was born July 30, 1959 in Wilmington and was the son of the late Robert Allen Watkins, Sr. and Nina Watkins Ritner.

Surviving are his son, Robert Allen Watkins, III of Henderson, Nevada; daughters, Joann Watkins and Tina Marie Watkins both of Henderson, Nevada and Heather Leigh Watkins of Clinton; several grandchildren; sisters, Patricia W. Futrell and her husband, Harvey, of Burgaw and Nina Marie Blackwell and her husband, Ed, of Salisbury; uncle, John Thomas Watkins of Rocky Point and aunts, Anna Casto of Currie and Ruth Futrell of Wallace.

Bobby loved his family dearly and enjoyed the time he spent with them. Being gifted with a talent and love for music, he greatly enjoyed playing his guitar. His passions in life were his Harley motorcycle and his boat. He loved nothing better than to spend a day fishing on the lake or river and just being outdoors in God's beautiful world. Cherished memories of Bobby will forever remain in our hearts.

A graveside memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Riverview Memorial Park with The Reverend Leo Bracken officiating.
