Roland Peter West, 68, of Sneads Ferry passed from his earthly life on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at The Village of Campbell.

He was born September 27, 1948 in Newark, New Jersey, the son of Vincent and Marie Friermuth West.

Roland is survived by his wife of 47 years, Solvi Loining West; daughter, Kari West; son, Kyle Matthew West (Porter); sister, Barbara Kopp and brother, Tommy West.

Roland served his country honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. Most important to Roland was his family. His presence in our family circle will be greatly missed.

Service will be at a later date.
