Obituary

Roman Douglas Turner, 21, of Leland passed from his earthly life on Friday, November 16, 2012 in Brunswick County.

He was born June 5, 1991 in Wilmington.

Roman was survived by his father, Joey Turner of Leland; mother, Amanda Muzio and her husband, Daniel of Watha; brothers, Ricky Turner of Rocky Point, Matthew Turner and his wife, Amanda of Burgaw and Isaac Turner of Watha; maternal grandfather, Jimmie Wheeler and his wife, Cheri of Smithfield; maternal grandmother, Glenda Lewis of Burgaw; great grandmothers, Dorothy Wheeler of Wallace and Mozelle Lounsbury of South Carolina; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many friends.

Roman had an exceptional zest for life and was known by family and friends to often be a little mischievous. He loved the outdoors; hunting and never missing a chance to go fishing, his dad being his favorite fishing buddy. Family was important to Roman and he loved them in his own special way. His bright spirit, his gentle smile and joyful laughter will be greatly missed and always remembered.

A memorial service will be at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 23, 2012 at Watha United Methodist Church with The Rev. John Fedoronko officiating.
