Ronald Arthur Alguire, age 77, of Burgaw and formerly of California died Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at his home.

He was born March 24, 1930 in Massena, New York, the son of the late Carroll and Margaruite Daley Alguire. He was also predeceased by his sister, Marilyn Barkley.

Mr. Alguire proudly served over twenty years in the US Air Force, serving honorably during the Korean Conflict and in Vietnam rising to the rank of Chief Master Sergeant.

For over twenty years Ronald was an active member of the Moreno Valley Elks Lodge in Moreno Valley, CA. Ron was an avid golfer and in his younger years enjoyed playing ice hockey. His joyful spirit, love of family, winning smile and delightful laughter will forever be remembered.

Surviving are his devoted wife of twenty-seven years, Nancy Alguire of the home; and children, James Parker and his son, James, Jr. of Burgaw, John Alguire and his family of Tennessee, Nancy, Kim, Ronald, and Daniel Alguire and their families all of California.

A celebration of Ronald Alguire's life will be at 12 Noon on Monday, December 31, 2007 at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with Mr. Victor Fraley officiating.

Full military honors will be accorded by US Air Force Honor Guard.
