Ronald Chadwick, 64, of Willard passed from his earthly life to his heavenly home on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at his home surround by loving family.

He was born December 11, 1947 in Burgaw, the son of the late William Lawerence and Elizabeth Hardison Chadwick.

Ronald is survived by his devoted wife, Dikki Chadwick; daughter, Susan Dawn Chadwick of New York; son, Scott Chadwick of Burgaw; step-daughters, Denise Furr (Lanier) and Dani Wooten (Casey) all of Wilmington; eight grandchildren; brothers, Kent Chadwick of Maryland, Bobby Chadwick and Gary Chadwick both of Willard; sisters, Judith Rivenbark of Willard and Carolyn Miller of Rocky Point; aunts, uncles and cousins; and many friends.

Ronald was a member of Cora's Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. He was one of three men that originally started the Forestry Service in Pender County in a little green trailer in Maple Hill. Following many years of dedicated service, Ronald retired from the NC Forestry Service in 2002.

Ronald was a devoted husband and loving daddy, granddaddy, brother and friend. He enjoyed the simple things in life; fishing, gardening and just being outdoors in God's nature that Ronald loved so dearly. He processed a keen sense of humor, an engaging smile and most important a steadfast faith in his Lord and Savior. Cherished memories of Ronald will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved Ronald.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012 at Cora's Grove P.F.W.B. Church with The Rev. Lenier Furr and The Rev. Joe Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park. Casketbearers will be Ronald Solis, Stuart Baucom, Abner Rivenbark, Craig Raynor, Derryl Walden, and Hugh Frazer.

The family will receive friends at the church on Friday at 1:00 p.m. until hour of the service.
