Ronald Rembert Foley, age 75, of Wallace passed from his earthly life to his eternal rest on Monday, February 21, 2011 at Duplin General Hospital.

Born December 5, 1935 in Robeson County, Ronald was the son of the late Rembert Lee and Tolla Cox Foley. He is predeceased by his son, Gary Foley; grandson, Kevin Sikes and sisters, Blondell Norris and Janet Williams.

Ronald is survived by his devoted wife of 26 years, Elizabeth Rich Foley of the home; his loving children, Terry Foley and wife, Janice of Rose Hill, Greg Foley and Cheryl Ann Futrell and husband, Larry all of Wallace; 18 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; sister, Ina Ruth Jones and husband, Daniel William "Bill" of Bay Tree Lake; step children, Sammy Cavanaugh and wife, Sandra of Wallace, David Cavenaugh and wife, Lynda of Lumberton, Carol Henderson and husband, Mike of Teachey, Roland Cavanaugh and wife, Cindy of High Point and Delwood Raynor of Teachey and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Ronald loved his family and his church family. But most importantly, Ronald loved the Lord and his life demonstrated that love. He was a man of great integrity and will be missed by all who knew him. His quiet manner and gentle spirit helped him cultivate enduring friendships that sustained him through the difficult days of his illness. Ronald's friends and family are comforted knowing that he has moved on from this life to a much fuller one with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

A memorial service will be at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 25, 2011 at Peniel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 2370 Willard Rd, Willard, NC. with the Reverend Dewey Ball officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the memorial service.
