Ronald Eldridge Hubbard, Jr., age 57 of Kenansville and formerly of Burgaw died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Duplin General Hospital.

He was born September 3, 1951 in Burgaw, the son of the late Ronald E. Hubbard, Sr. and Lillian Hope Rivenbark Hubbard. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ronna F. Hubbard.

Surviving are his sister, Sharon H. Neely (David) of Burgaw; brothers, Edward Vance Hubbard, Sr. of Watha, John Thomas "J. T." Hubbard of Wilmington, and George Marion Hubbard, Sr. (Kathy) of Burgaw; step-mother, Barbara Lynn Hubbard of Georgia; nephews, E. J. Hubbard (Kristina), David A. Neely, Jr. (Lisa) and George M. Hubbard, Jr.; and great nieces and nephew, Ashlyn Hope Hubbard, Phebe Neely and Gavin Hubbard.

Ronnie loved his family and friends and was truly loved in return. He enjoyed spending time on the river and just being outdoors in God's beautiful world. Ronnie was at peace with himself, his Lord, and his family. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with Dr. Clarence Dodgens officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the funeral service, on Saturday.
