Obituary

Ronnie Fredrick Carter, age 53, of Harrells passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014.

He was born January 19, 1961 in New Hanover County, the son of John F. Carter of Harrells and the late Eloise Doris Peterson Carter. Also lovingly remembered is Ronnie's canine companion "Louie" who passed away with Ronnie in the accident on Saturday. One never saw Ronnie without his beloved dog, Louie.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Anita Pearson Carter of the home; son, Lucas Carter of Harrells; daughter, Alma Maria Carter and fiancé, Justin Rivenbark, of Harrells; sister, Pamela "Pam" C. Hurt of Harrells and numerous nieces, nephews and friends who loved Ronnie dearly.

Ronnie was a devoted husband and loving father, son and brother who dedicated his life to his wife and family. He was a hard worker who enjoyed being out doors, planting crops and working on his farm. A man of great integrity, Ronnie will surely be missed by all who knew him and loved him.

Funeral service will be 6:00pm on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, Wallace Chapel with Pastor Dorothy Rudd officiating.

Burial will follow in Harrells Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Kelly Porter, Hunter Capps, Eric Spencer, Tracy Murrell, Bob Bowen and Gene Carlton.

Honorary casketbearers will be Alton Thornton and Robert Jarrell.

The family will receive friends from 4:00pm to 5:30pm on Wednesday, prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
