Rosa Ramona Sabillon

Rosa Ramona Lopez Sabillon, 86, of Wallace, NC passed from this life to her heavenly home on Monday, September 29, 2026, from Novant Health New Hanover Hospital.

She was born on March 27, 1940, in Honduras to the late Jasitan Erazo Lopez. Rosa was preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years, Alfredo Sabillon.

Rosa is survived by her daughter, Yaneth Sabillon; her six sons, Tomas Sabillon, Alfredo Sabillon, Carlos Sabillon, Marcos Sabillon, Armando Sabillon and Antonio Sabillon. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends that loved Rosa very much.

Rosa was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She was always kind and very loving to everyone especially to her children and her grandchildren. Rosa was a strong woman who always put her family and others before herself. She has always been the ‘protector’ of her grandchildren and before them, of her own children. Rosa was a great woman of strong faith. Her trust in God helped her through some difficult times after she came to America.  After coming to the United States, she worked very hard to bring her family here so they all could be together. With God’s help, prayers and determination, Rosa got them here one by one until they all were here, together. One of the most important things in Rosa’s life was that her family be united and always there for each other. Rosa was truly a gift from God, a sweet presence that others enjoyed and cherished. She will surely be missed but never forgotten.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Iglesia de Dias Pentecostal Church, 1209 N. Norwood Street, Wallace, NC.

On Sunday, October 4, 2026, the family will meet at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Wallace from 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Riverview Memorial Park in Watha, NC.
