Roy Lester Batson, 49, of Hampstead, tragically left his earthly life on Thursday, February 17, 2022.

He was born on November 9, 1972 in Burgaw to Linda Faye (Lee) Batson and the late Joseph David Batson.

Roy had a huge heart of gold and was always smiling and happy. He just made everyone around him feel better. He was caregiver to both his parents before the death of his father. Roy will be remembered for his love of family and his love of life.

In addition to his father, Roy was also preceded in death by his brother, Michael David Batson.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 2pm at the home of Denise Fournier, 616 Batson Road in Hampstead, with Reverend Ed Dowd officiating.
