Roy Ellwyn "Wynn" Moore III, of Wilmington and formerly of Atkinson passed from his earthly life on Friday, July 11, 2014 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Wynn graduated from Atkinson High School where he proudly played on the school basketball team. He attended Wilmington College (now UNC-Wilmington). Wynn not only loved music, but possessed God given musical talents. In his younger years he played in a band with several of his Atkinson friends. Most importantly Wynn served his country honorably in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Era, serving two tours of duty. Wynn was a soft spoken man, quiet in manner. One of the things he most enjoyed was watching basketballs games. He was loved by his family.
