Rudolph Lincoln Wells, 71, of Watha passed from his earthly life on Monday, November 28, 2016 at his home.
Lincoln was born January 12, 1945 in Pender County to Matthew and Daisy Hudson Wells. He was preceded in death by his son, Randolph Lee Wells; sisters, Lois Long and Iris Loree Deal; brothers, Roger Wells and David Williamson.
Lincoln is survived by his son, Rudolph "Rudy" Lee Wells (Tonya); step-son, Alan Dekin; grandchildren, Rudolph "Rudy" Wells, Jr., Amber Wells and Jessica Wells; sisters, Bessie Jane Romer and Judy Wells; brothers, Jeff Wells and Harold Wilson; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Lincoln was a smart and gifted in many areas as he excelled in all of his careers. He first served his country honorably in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict, ending his tours of duty as a SSGT. Following his military duty, Lincoln, for a number of years worked in the Pender County A.S.C.S. office now the USDA-Farm Service Agency in Pender County. Most recently Lincoln was a licensed building contractor.
He was a quiet man, always staying busy, working hard and giving his best to any task he undertook.
The family will receive friends 1 to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Cora's Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with funeral following at 2 p.m. in the church sanctuary. The Rev. Randy Little will conduct the service. Burial will follow in Wells Cemetery.
