Ruth Madelyn Gagnier, 84, of Currie formerly of Millinocket, Maine passed gently from her earthly life on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at her home.

She was born January 13, 1932 in East Millinocket, Maine, the daughter of the late Pertches and Nora Powers Thompson. Also lovingly remembered is Ruth's husband, Leo Gagnier; son, Roger Gagnier; and grandson, James E. Baker, all who preceded Ruth in death.

Ruth is survived by her children, Michael Gagnier (Priscilla), Leo David Gagnier, Bruce Gagnier, Sr., Reggie Gagnier, Sr. (Jamie) and Steven Gagnier, Sr. (Mary); daughter-in-law, Heidi Gagnier; twenty-one grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.

Ruth was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend who dearly loved her family. With her radiant smile, Ruth made friends easily and kept them for a life time. Ruth enjoyed Wheel of Fortune games, gospel music and most of all sharing her faith in Jesus with others. She always had a hand stretched out to help others and a heart ready to show the love of Christ within her. Cherished memories of Ruth will always be in our hearts.

A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Federal Point Pentecostal Church, 629 Piner Road, Wilmington, with Pastor John Butler, Sr., Pastor Iris Fowler and Pastor Thomas Fowler officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
